I had a very bad experience with an Acupuncturist from Aventura, Florida: the needles hurt, I felt dizzy after treatment for 3 days, my stomach was upset. So I was really afraid to try another acupuncturist again. But I had now lower back pain for days and Eliziane (Natural Healing Wellness Center, Pompano Beach), who I met at the Holistic Chamber of Commerce in Fort Lauderdale convinced me to give her a chance. I had sweaty hands – that’s how nervous I was. So I arrived last Thursday afternoon in a Feng Shui designed place, beautifully done, very relaxing. I laid down on my stomach – my hands still sweaty. The first, very small, thin needles in my back. No pain. Hands starting to relax. A warm lamp above, half dark ….just the ticking of the heat lamp. I fell asleep right there. 20 min later I had to turn around – I got some needles in my ears. One of them felt not comfortable, so Eliziane removed it. 20 more minutes with my heat lamp … I fell asleep again. That’s how relaxing it was.
Then came the surprise: my back felt so good, no pain, nothing. Now we are 4 days later and the pain didn’t come back. I feel energized and great!
What did I learn? It is very, very important that you have a well educated Acupuncture Physician, with whom you feel comfortable personally. You are working here on a level where it really matters who is around you. I also liked Eliziane’s and Fabiola’s idea of adapting the prices to your personal income (no proof necessary). I hope nobody takes advantage of that. She also offers a kind of Acupuncture Group Session to bring the price down and make it affordable for everybody. I LOVE THAT!
